摘要: An osteotome suitable for cutting through cancellous bone that is holding an orthopaedic implant requiring revision within a cavity of bone, includes cylindrical waveguide connectable to source ultrasonic vibrations at its proximal end and blade having hollow part-cylindrical cross-section edge distal tip. The respective longitudinal axes the cross angle about 30°, taper curve smoothly together where they meet. dimensioned such first antinode located waveguide, second tip node cuts readily when ultrasonically energized.
