摘要: Tunable polymer-based sonic structures (“TuPSS”) are made up of and polymers. The TuPSS has three general requirements: a) structure is composed one or materials engineered to behave as a lens, filter, cloak, dampener; b) Stimulus sensitive polymer incorporated into the structure; c) actuation tunes acoustic behavior in predictable manner. tunable utilize stimuli-driven physical properties polymers these produce stimulus driven, tunable, device. actively modulate mechanical vibrations that propagate through structures, but passive they do not vibrations. stimuli for include electric, magnetic, electromagnetic, chemical, thermal, shaking/orientation.
