摘要: Objective The aims of this study were to examine dentists' recommendations for in-office fluoride patients and identify characteristics associated with these recommendations. Study Design Setting The was conducted using a cross-sectional questionnaire survey in Japan. The queried dentists (n = 282) outpatient dental practices affiliated the Dental Practice-based Research Network Japan (JDPBRN). This network assist investigating research questions sharing their experience expertise. Results The responses obtained by 189 (67 percent). Among valid response, 54 percent (n = 98) recommend more than 50 aged 6-18 years 15 (n = 29) recommended care over 18 years. Multiple logistic regression analysis suggested that factors percentage who are included patient's interest caries prevention dentist's belief effectiveness risk assessment. Conclusions Dentist practice patterns recommending vary widely. Recommendation significantly related having higher interested about assessment. (Clinicaltrials.gov registration number NCT01680848).
