摘要: A variety of different hypotheses have been put forward over the last century and a half to explain how stomata open close (see Chapter 1). All proved inadequate greater or lesser degree. Since late 1960S, however, major advances in our understanding stom- ata function made with application diverse new technologies, such as electrophysiology ion imaging. It is now clear that accumulation forms part osmotic increases observed during stomatal opening recent experiments started link control movement transduction physiological stim- uli. The conceptual framework for signal relies heavily on models derived from animal cell systems, although sufficient data beginning accumulate establish interactions signalling net- work are unique guard cells. In this chapter mechanisms leading reversible release by cells considered, followed discussion fluxes regu- lated internal external signals.
