National Survey of Prevalence of Mental Disorders in Egypt: preliminary survey.

摘要: This study is an initial step for the National Survey of Prevalence Mental Disorders in Egypt. We conducted a door-to-door household survey 14,640 adults aged 18-64 years 5 regions disorders were diagnosed using MINI-Plus diagnostic interview. Overall prevalence was estimated at 16.93% studied adult population. The main problems mood disorders, 6.43%, anxiety 4.75%, and multiple 4.72%. associated with sociodemographic factors (e.g. being female, unemployed, divorced) physical illness heart disease, kidney hypertension).
