Immunocytochemical demonstration of neuropeptides and serotonin in the nervous system of adult Schistosoma mansoni

摘要: In the nervous system of adult Schistosoma mansoni, neuropeptides and serotonin were demonstrated immunocytochemically. Neurons nerve fibers immunoreactive to anti-FMRF-amide, anti-substance P, anti-leu-enkephalin, anti-growth hormone releasing factor found in central peripheral system. The peptidergic cell bodies bilobed brain are large often multipolar; those net smaller bipolar. Sensory receptors two morphologically different types along surface worm. They mainly P and, a lesser degree, anti-FMRF-amide. Serotonin-immunoreactive elements as well sensory endings.
