摘要: MicroRNAs (miRNAs), a class of ∼21-23 nucleotide long non-coding RNAs (ncRNAs), have critical roles in diverse biological processes that encompass development, proliferation, apoptosis, stress response, and fat metabolism. miRNAs recognize their target mRNA transcripts by partial sequence complementarity collectively been estimated to regulate the majority human genes. Consequently, misregulation or disruption sites genes has implicated variety diseases ranging from cancer metastasis neurological disorders. With development availability genomic technologies computational approaches, field miRNA biology advanced tremendously over last decade. Here we review genome-wide approaches allowed for discovery new miRNAs, characterization targets, systems-level view impact.
