摘要: The kinetics of methotrexate were followed in a patient given two 6-hr infusions 400 mg/kg the presence and absence pleural effusion. Although decline serum concentrations during first 30 hr after infusion was similar for treatment courses, half-life beginning 6.7 without effusion 14.4 with Comparison intercompartment distribution rate constants indicated slower movement drug back into central compartment from peripheral when present. Pleural fluid consistently higher than concentrations. These data indicate that increased risk toxicity following high-dose patients effusions is due to changes resulting delayed excretion.
