Language Disturbance: An Initial Symptom of Cortical Degenerations and Dementia

摘要: • Six patients manifested progressive language disturbance, resembling aphasia secondary to a focal dominant hemisphere lesion, as either an isolated initial symptom or prominent early feature of more generalized dementing illness. None had history transient ischemic attacks stroke, and in all cases extensive clinical laboratory investigation failed show brain lesion definable etiology dementia. This article discusses the relationship known syndromes. Patients who consult physicians for disturbance should be evaluated followed up both evidence deterioration development
