摘要: Abstract Obtaining a reliable growth function is an integral part of deriving the optimal harvesting strategy for any aquaculture operation. This paper examines common functional forms fitting equations fish and shrimps. The following are considered: linear, polynomial, log reciprocal, Von Bertalanffy, Gompertz, logistic exponential. Results these various with experimental data Penaeus vannamei compared evaluated using standard statistical goodness-of-fit tests. implications estimated functions in determining harvest schedule discussed. indicate that Gompertz Bertalanffy statistically best fit to calculated based on two well reflect actual shrimp farm Therefore, may be describing biological hence might useful economic evaluation.
