Surrounding media sensitive photoluminescence of boron-doped graphene quantum dots for highly fluorescent dyed crystals, chemical sensing and bioimaging

摘要: We demonstrate that boron-doping of graphene quantum dots (B-GQDs) give rise to rich fluorescence owing their peculiar interaction with the surrounding media. A B-GQDs borax (Na2B4O7·10H2O) solution was shown be highly fluorescent in green, and upon evaporation, formed bright green crystals. However, removing left behind only blue yellow luminescent solutions. These intriguing findings are rationalized by insight associate absence whereas they form dative valence bonds bridgehead O atoms presence borax. further use B-GQDs, for example, chemosensor detecting Al3+ biomarker cellular imaging.
