摘要: Surra is a zoonotic disease caused by Trypanosoma evansi, affecting the health and production of livestock significantly. There are several methods to diagnose this disease, which have different principles, sensitivity, specificity. Among them, serological techniques using T. evansi as antigen powerful tools for its epidemiological surveillance. However, they poorly used due inefficient in vitro propagation requires use laboratory animals production. In present study, whole cell lysate brucei propagated was an detection anti-T. immunoglobulin G cattle through indirect-ELISA. Based on total 45 samples from non-infected infected cattle, sensitivity specificity were estimated 100% 97.7%, respectively. After validation, molecular surveys carried out 710 two endemic Colombian regions (Antioquia Arauca departments) where prevalences ˜7.0% detected year sporadic outbreaks vivax infections been associated low prevalence species ( 1 year, Bos taurus breed, those raised under intensive farming system exhibited higher seroprevalence (P < 0.05). The results displayed new alternative antibody livestock, parasites antigen, presents advantage standardization potential, avoid live animal A larger availability ELISA will generate useful information better understanding epidemiologic aspects, well management control these diseases Colombia. ability test detect and/or cross react with remains be investigated.
