Spatial Planning as an Integrative Mechanism: A Study of Sub-regional Planning in South Hampshire, England

摘要: Abstract This article examines the concept of integrated spatial planning through a case study sub-regional working in South Hampshire, England. It argues that while government's notion integration was ill-defined and inconsistent, there were critical opportunities discernible for practice. We focus on three aspects integration: across territories fragmented spaces; between actors stakeholders; from policy development to delivery implementation. However, cautious re-scaling governance activity sub-region limited effectiveness overall programme. The concludes with review contextual features contributed distinct manner which employed Hampshire how this might inform future policy-making.
