摘要: Abstract Leea macrophylla (Leeaceae) is a wild edible plant with ethomedicinal importance as anti-inflammatory agent. However, no systematic studies on its activity and mechanisms have been reported. Present study was undertaken to evaluate of methanol extract L. leaves. Phytochemical investigation revealed presence sterols, triterpenoids ascorbic acid in extract. Methanol inhibited lipopolysaccharide stimulated production inflammatory mediators viz. prostaglandin E2, tumor necrotic factor-α, interleukin-6 interleukin-1β vitro mouse peritoneal macrophages. Additionally, the vivo this evaluated by using carrageenan induced paw edema cotton pellet granuloma assays experimental rats.
