摘要: This investigation was conducted to gain an understanding of the career pathways current international female field hockey performers, and their experiences talent identification development. There is limited specific research within so often development programmes have been based upon findings in other sports. 12 senior players were interviewed for investigation. The major influences on achieving elite performance identified as support from families, schools clubs, with overriding influence luck at all stages. It suggested that type school attended by individual will impact direction take. Literature school, club (Bailey Morely 2006,) family (Kay, 2000) a vital factor well (Bailey, 2006). Overall it found dominant private pupils (Priv-kids), whereas clubs are more important grammar (Gram-kids) state (Stat-kids). Family be vitally types youth performers emphasises need make these affective possible also them accessible talented rather than just lucky ones.
