摘要: Feeding territories of Golden-winged Sunbirds contain enough energy to sup- port an individual's daily requirements, and the amount nectar per flower inside a territory tends average higher than in adjacent undefended flowers. When levels are low (especially below 2 /ul flower) costs territorial defense can easily be offset by saved from shortened foraging time budgets made possible feeding at levels. At should not recoverable. The balance between these gains appears define conditions when this species is advantageous.
