摘要: Land tenure security is widely considered to be a fundamental factor in motivating farmers adopt sustainable land management practices. This study aims establish whether it true that owner-operators more effective soil conservation measures than tenant-operators, and well-designed agro-environmental instruments can provide sufficiently strong motivation compensate for the differences between these two groups. An analysis of level adoption four types erosion control on 263 blocks arable endangered by water Czech Republic has proved all were adopted owners significantly frequently tenants. Compared tenants, applied wide-row crops crop rotation schemes 2.4 times less last 5 years, while they soil-improving 1.9 frequently. Contour farming was 1.8 often owners, slope length production farmed an average shorter However, also shown that, cases where are supported incentives based Good Agricultural Environmental Conditions (GAEC) standards cross compliance, approach tenants minimized or eliminated, due responsible practices The system environmentally determined subsidies otherwise substantial attitude towards conservation.
