摘要: This study was aimed at identifying the genomic loci linked to exercise participation in males and females. Cross-sectional data of twins siblings (18-50 years) were used from Netherlands Twin Registry. The sample consisted 1432 genotyped sibling pairs 622 families (1120 on all chromosomes). Exercise (no/yes, based a cutoff criterion four metabolic equivalents 60 min weekly) assessed by survey. Genotyping 361 markers an average marker density 10.6 cM. Identical descent status estimated for 1 cM grid. A variance components-based sex-limited linkage scan carried out participation. heritability 68.5% females 46.3%. genetic overlap 0.32, indicating that partly different genes affect two sexes. Suggestive found subjects chromosome 19p13.3 (LOD=2.18). Although sex differences effect not significant, mainly contributed suggestive linkage. 19p13.3-13.2 region harbors number related muscle performance blood flow, which might behavior through ability. Most likely, large with each small effects Large collaborative samples are needed detect these effects.
