摘要: Abstract Bulk samples are among the foremost sources of quantitative data retrieved from fossil record. However, such not sieved in a uniform way, even research projects with very similar focus. Several studies recently have demonstrated sensitivity paleontological patterns to changes sieve size and underscored importance controlling for mesh analyses. Building on previous work, this study exploits large dataset Miocene mollusks that is fortuitously suitable exploring effect size: dimensions each were measured, all acquired fine screens (≤1 mm mesh), numerous paleoecological taphonomic variables obtained specimen. This was artificially (i.e., subsampled computer simulations) explore effects size. The results show variables, parameters diversity indices, can...
