International amenity migration: Examining environmental behaviors and influences of amenity migrants and local residents in a rural community

摘要: Abstract This study contributes to our understanding of international amenity migration by examining the different types environmental behaviors displayed migrants and local residents in Nuevo Arenal, Costa Rica, as well how each group influences other. Our findings indicate that Ricans distinct behaviors. The former places more emphasis on large-scale processes, such rebuilding natural ecosystems. latter prioritizes smaller-scale activities, recycling trash collection. We also found this community are unidirectional—from but not vice versa. Factors explaining these offered.
