摘要: Carcinoma of the lung is one most frequent malignancies and a major cause mortality. The use positron emission tomography (PET) has been extensively investigated in patients with carcinoma established clinical utility cost-effectiveness characterization solitary pulmonary nodules preoperative staging lung. Evolving applications include detection recurrence, assessment treatment response, radiotherapy planning, prognosis. In addition, there developing interest combined anatomic/metabolic imaging new tracer techniques, particular gene expression imaging. This review aims to present existing data supporting PET explore evolving indications future prospects cancer.
