摘要: Global electricity consumption rose exponentially over the last decades powered by fossil fueled thermal power plants. In comparison, Brazil relies on large hydroelectric plants to generate most of its electricity. Nevertheless, share generation in has increased because can balance seasonality based system and is cost competitive. Regardless great wind potential, use this technology still timid. The country had only 835 MW installed windpower capacity until November 2010, or 0.75% total. An aggressive deployment been constrained recently. However, potential act as a complementary energy source hydropower during dry seasons, development could displace This paper aims quantify greenhouse gas (GHG) emission reductions jobs creation three different scenarios up 2019. baseline scenario, will create 93,000 reduce 96 million tones CO2 massive , foresees reduction 176 more than 225,000 jobs, them manufacturing sector. Therefore, an important alternative for promoting sustainable it reduces GHG emissions creates green jobs.
