摘要: Gramicidin S, the most notable example of cationic antimicrobial peptides (CAPs), has remained in forefront worldwide research for development new antibiotics over seven decades now. Hundreds papers have been published years on this molecule and its numerous analogs, delineating their structures biological activities with an aim to achieve selective reduced cytotoxicity potential therapeutic applications. The present review attempts capture essence some recent studies aims chronicle journey traversed by fascinating so far decipher what is needed future success.
