摘要: BACKGROUND: Current scenarios of global climate change predict a significant increase in ultraviolet B (UV-B) and tropospheric ozone (O3) the near future. Both UV-B O3 can have detrimental effects on productivity yield quality important agricultural crops. The present study was conducted to investigate individual interactive supplemental (sUV-B) (ambient + 7.2 kJ m−2 day−1) 10 ppb) oil two cultivars linseed (Linum usitatissimum L.). RESULTS: mean monthly ambient concentration varied from 27.7 59.0 ppb during experimental period. affected fruit formation, while sUV-B mainly responsible for ovule abortion. Seed sugar protein contents showed maximum reduction O3-treated plants, mineral nutrient levels were most by treatment. Rancid low nutritional containing long-chain fatty acids favoured along with decrease content. CONCLUSION: individually as well combination caused deterioration seeds linseed. However, effect more damaging than or O3, cultivar T-397 performed better Padmini. © 2012 Society Chemical Industry
