摘要: Health researchers engaged in the project of identifying lesbian, gay, bisexual and trans (LGBT) health as a distinct topic for study have often emphasised differences care from heterosexuals similarities among LGBT people. This work has sometimes rendered invisible experiences disabled, black minority ethnic other groups contributed towards homogenisation communities. In this paper, intersection theory is used to explore how diverse identities systems oppression interconnect. As theory, intersectionality requires complex nuanced thinking about multiple dimensions inequality difference. Drawing on Crenshaw (1993), I use three types intersectionality: methodological, structural political meanings being lesbian may be permeated by class gender racism heterosexism intersect lives gay men women. Intersection offers possibilities understanding inequalities without abandoning politics social movements.
