摘要: Conventional geotechnical instrumentation techniques available for monitoring of slopes, especially soil-nailed slopes have limitations such as electromagnetic interference, low accuracy, poor longterm reliability and difficulty in mounting a series strain sensors on soil nail bar with small-diameter. This paper presents slope system based fibre Bragg grating (FBG) sensing technology. is designed to perform long-term movements, strains along nails, other reinforcement elements. All these FBG are fabricated calibrated laboratory trial this has been successfully conducted roadside Hong Kong. As part the stability improvement works, nails toe support soldier-pile wall were constructed. During more than 100 installed nail, soldier pile, an in- place inclinometer. The layout arrangement instruments well installation procedures adopted. Monitoring data collected since March 2008. demonstrated great potential optical performance. advantages experience gained field implementation also discussed paper.
