摘要: Serratia marcescens is a Gram negative bacterium (Enterobacteriaceae) often associated with infection of insects. In order to find pathogenic bacteria the potential control scarab larvae, several bacterial strains were isolated from hemocoel diseased Phyllophaga spp (Coleoptera:Scarabaeidae) larvae collected cornfields in Mexico. Five isolates identified as by 16S rRNA gene sequencing and biochemical tests. Oral injection bioassays using healthy blanchardi fed S. showed different degrees antifeeding effect mortality. No insecticidal activity was observed for Spodoptera frugiperda (Lepidoptera: Noctuidae) oral inoculation. (Sm81) cell-free culture supernatant caused significant mortality P. bioassay also bioassay. Heat treated broths lost ability cause disease symptoms, suggesting involvement proteins toxic activity. A protein 50.2 kDa purified broth towards blanchardi. Analysis tandem- mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS) similarity Serralysin-like spp. This could have applications agricultural biotechnology.
