摘要: Abstract Twenty-seven compounds were screened as potential inhibitors of juvenile hormone esterases. Of these O -ethyl- S -phenyl phosphoramidothiolate provided the best inhibition for cabbage looper, Trichoplusia ni (Hubner), and yellow mealworm, Tenebrio molitor L., while esterases house fly, Musca domestica inhibited by a juvenoid carbamate (1-( m -phenoxy- N -ethyl carbamate)-3,7-dimethyl-7-methoxy-2 E -octene). The patterns T. are similar, those M. relatively different. Further studies on α-napthyl acetate showed that they could be differentially inhibited. Diisopropyl phosphorofluoridate an alkyl trifluoromethyl ketone selectively inhibit hydrolysis α-naphthyl hormone, respectively, phosporamidothiolate inhibits both enzymes. also appear to unique enzymes selective juvenile-hormone-like molecules. in vivo slows results delayed pupation malformed larvae resemble larval-pupal intermediates. Thus, involved metabolism important regulation.
