摘要: Allergic rhinitis is a common disease in childhood, but nasal cytology rarely used by pediatricians. We compared two techniques of cell sampling, brushing and blowing the nose, among 77 children suffering from chronic rhinitis, whom 59 were allergic. Staining May-Griinwald-Giemsa method enabled evaluation density cells especially differential counting inflammatory cells. Luna was as control for eosinophils. For eosinophil count, we found strong correlation between methods collecting secretions (r= 0.96). Because nose painless easy to perform, it more appropriate than routine use diagnosis allergic challenge with allergens.
