摘要: This paper reports the electrical detection of calcium ions by using silicon nanowires (SiNWs) as channels in a chemically gated field-effect-transistor (FET) configuration. To obtain selective and sensitive layer for sensing, SiNWs are modified with biologically relevant amino acid phosphotyrosine (p-Tyr), which is able to complex high affinity. It found that when p-Tyr exposed aqueous solutions containing ions, their conductances increase increasing concentration up 10 μM. In contrast, sodium or potassium, they tyrosine (Tyr), no significant conductance observed. finding suggests complexed phosphate group can act positive gate voltage on FET device comprising n-type SiNWs, leads an conductances. The also magnesium ions. However, response times lower than at same concentration. study reported here may pave way designing intracellular sensor permits monitoring real time.
