摘要: Physically cross-linked isotropic and anisotropic poly(vinyl alcohol) (PVA) hydrogels containing micron-sized carbonyl iron particles were prepared through a cyclic freezing–thawing process. The PVA hydrogel can respond to magnetic field shows magnetorheological (MR) effect, i.e., the modulus of be adjusted under field. chain-like structures are formed in after orientation 1.5 T. Also some induced oriented pores with tunable diameter observed dried gel. MR effect by changing content, initial concentration solution test frequency. formation aligned improves compression properties effect. At content 70 wt%, maximum absolute relative ∼1.24 MPa ∼230%, respectively. good effects moderate mechanical strength have potential applications artificial muscle, soft actuators drug release.
