摘要: Purpose: The purposes of this study are first, to analyze why the process capability index ( Cpk ) for drop impact resistance (DIR) does not meet specification or less than 1.33, and second, find out what improvements should be made make it specification. Methodology/Approach: methodology used was Statistical Process Control (SPC) through PDCA cycle, supporting with Cause Effect Diagram (CED), Nominal Group Technique (NGT) “why, what, where, when how (5W1H)” method. Findings: With above methods, result given a positive on company. average DIR increased from 20.40 cm 25.76 cm, by 26.27% standard deviation reduced 1.80 1.48, then 0.48 1.79 means is in control capable. Research Limitation/implication: This research limited only two-piece can aluminum cans manufacturing process, no three-piece manufacturing. SPC cycle an interesting method continuous improvement industry. Originality/Value paper: highlights area future optimize capability. Therefore, considered promote adopt high-valued methodologies industry achieve global competitive advantages.
