Constructive staff-family relationships in the care of older adults in the institutional setting

摘要: Objective This systematic review sought to present the best available evidence on strategies and practices that promote constructive staff-family relationships in care of older people institutional setting. Questions Specifically, this aimed explore: • How do staff families perceive/describe relationships? What characteristics attitudes are associated with organisational (e.g. leadership, management) most effective developing meetings, conciliation/complaints resolution process) Inclusion Criteria Types participants Participants were residents patients within acute, subacute, rehabilitation residential settings, aged over 65 years, their family health staff. No restrictions made terms patient’s condition cognitive state, seriousness/level illness). interventions Interventions interest included following: strategies/practices case conferencing, environmental approaches, resolution) management, skills mix, educational programs, customer service training) outcome measures Both objective subjective outcomes considered. The were: decreased stress, increased job satisfaction, more inclusive practice, improved retention staff, satisfaction relationship resident/patient family) related resident
