摘要: Propagating beam solutions for optical waveguides can be made to generate such mode-related properties as propagation constants, relative mode powers, and group delays with high precision considerable flexibility. These quantities are needed in the analysis of fiber dispersion. The technique requires generation correlation functions from numerical a wave equation. turn Fourier-transformed respect axial distance z. resulting spectra display sharp resonances corresponding groups, positions heights these determine previously mentioned properties. spectral is highly accurate by use line-shape fitting techniques. With this method, determined +/-0.12 psec/km using computation covering 5-cm path.
