摘要: Substantial international aid is spent reducing the cost of contraception in developing countries, as part a larger effort to reduce total fertility and increase investment per child worldwide. The importance for behaviors keeping contraceptive prices low, however, remains unclear. Targeting subsidies insufficient price variation have hindered prior attempts estimate effect monetary non-monetary costs on behavior. Exploiting enormous induced by economic crisis Indonesia, this paper employs longitudinal data from Indonesian Family Life Survey pin down availability use method choice over life course. Results indicate that are not an important determinant use.
