摘要: ACE inhibitor drugs decrease mortality by up to one-fifth in cardiovascular patients. Surprisingly, there are reports dating back 1979 suggesting the existence of endogenous inhibitors. Here we investigated clinical significance this potential inhibition. concentration and activity was measured patient's serum samples (n = 151). found be a wide range (47-288 ng/mL). decreased with increasing albumin (HSA): 56 ± 1 U/L presence 2.4 0.3 mg/mL HSA, compared 39 12 HSA (values mean SEM). Effects differences were suppressed human sera: patients DD genotype exhibited 64% higher (range, 74-288 ng/mL, median, 155.2 n 52) II 47-194 94.5 28) while difference activities only 32% 27.3-59.8 U/L, 43.11 15.6-55.4 32.74 respectively) HSA. No correlations between (or genotype) diseases, accordance proposed physiological (concentration sera these patients: 48.5 0.5 mg/mL) or other Main implications that (1) can stabilized at low level inhibitors, such as HSA; (2) angiotensin elimination may have significant role related pathologies.
