摘要: Methods and compositions for detecting molecular interactions, particularly protein-protein are provided. The invention allows detection of such interactions in living cells or vitro. Detection is not limited to the nuclear compartment, but can be accomplished cytoplasm, cell surface, organelles, between these entities. In one embodiment, method utilizes novel comprising fusion proteins molecules interest two more inactive, weakly-complementing β-galactosidase mutants. Association brings complementing mutants into proximity so that complementation occurs active produced. may detected by methods well-known art. Among uses study functional genomics, agonist antagonist screening drug discovery.
