摘要: A therapeutic food composition for treatment of diabetic patients to diminish fluctuations in blood sugar levels and prevent hypoglycemic episodes, comprising per unit about 20-50 grams nutrients including a slowly absorbed or digested complex carbohydrate, preferably cornstarch; more rapidly carbohydrate; protein; fat, but substantially no simple sugars. Diabetic may be treated hypoglycemia via the administration novel as an evening pre-bedtime snack during daytime hours receiving insulin therapy engaging activities that might provoke hypoglycemia.
