摘要: The purpose of this investigation was to use relative phase dynamics evaluate gait in individuals with a reconstructed anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) during walking and running. Relative can describe the coordination strategies between interacting segments at lower extremity. Ten subjects who had undergone ACL reconstruction using central third their patellar tendon ten healthy controls walked ran on treadmill self-selected pace. were calculated for foot-shank shank-thigh coordinative relationships. Statistical differences groups noted relationship (p < 0.05) both running walking. Our results indicate that current reconstructive techniques may result altered dynamics. These changes could be related loss sensory information about joint position velocity is typically provided by intact ACL. Additionally, adaptations learned response from early stages postsurgical rehabilitation. provide quantitative dynamic status ACL-reconstructed knee cannot gained conventional time-series evaluation analysis data. measures should supplement are used today clinical functional stability knee. examination clinically important quantification new surgical interventions patient performance various Further research incorporate understand influence outcomes.
