摘要: Past attempts to represent the semiannual density variation in heterosphere as a consequence of temperature have run into difficulties two height regions: below 200 and above 1000 km. The main argument favor variations was dependence their amplitude on solar cycle; it can be shown, however, that this is spurious, being caused by change dρ/dT with T. An analysis at different levels fails show sunspot cycle. All are removed if we assume not direct variations.
