摘要: In a previous study, biogenic silver nanoparticles were produced by Lactobacillus fermentum which served as matrix preventing aggregation. this study the antibacterial activity of was compared to ionic and chemically nanosilver. The minimal inhibitory concentration (MIC) tested on Gram-positive Gram-negative bacteria comparable for ranging from 12.5 50 mg/L. contrast, nanosilver had much higher MIC at least 500 mg/L, due aggregation upon application. bactericidal (MBC) in drinking water varied 0.1 0.5 mg/L silver, but concentrations, up needed. presence salts organic matter decreased antimicrobial all types resulting MBC slower inactivation bacteria. mode action mainly attributed release ions high free measured resemblance performance between silver. Radical formation direct contact found contribute little activity. conclusion, exhibited equal can be valuable alternative
