摘要: The cytoarchitectonic and myelogenetic maps of the mammalian visual cortex (Brodmann, 1903, 1905, 1906, 1908a, 1908b, 1909; Flechsig, 1920; Economo Koskinas, 1925) represented for decades widely accepted organizational concepts. Lately, they have been losing some their importance, mainly two reasons. First, schematic figures published by these authors are often used purposes cortical localization, surface landmarks, without recourse to histological identification areas taking into account ambiguities definitions interindividual variations. Second, purely architectonic tend be replaced more functionally relevant parcellations (for review see Felleman van Essen, 1991; Kaas Krubitzer, Kaas, 1993; Zeki, 1993). We aim at reestablishing importance approach human reviewing critically classic modern studies relating them hodological activation studies.
