摘要: A pattern is simple if the spatial layout of objects can be spontaneously organized into one unit, regardless quantity objects. Here we propose that a defi nition visual simplicity based on set holistic dimensions related to arrangement. Each perceptual dimension encodes different aspect layout: Symmetry Degree refl ectional invariance in all axes. More symmetry leads greater simplicity. Regularity Connectedness variability between minimal distance adjacent The more regular connections are, becomes. Lacunarity homogeneity gaps. includes large regions space (less sparse) or gaps complex consists larger range gap sizes. SIMPLICITY SPACE
