摘要: Abstract When two black lipid bilayers are brought into close contact in the presence of divalent ions they interact, a process termed “fusion”. The resulting structure is suggested to be another bilayer with multitude intercalated solvent lenses and micelles. This corroborated by observation that gramicidin A can induce unit conductance increments parameters identical those formed normal planar bilayers. Moreover, fused membrane has specific capacitance which amounts 75–80% value found membranes. Asymmetric membranes produced fusion different composition.
