摘要: Tree pollen induced allergies are one of the major medical and public health burdens in industrialized world. Allergen-Specific Immunotherapy (AIT) through subcutaneous injection or sublingual delivery is only approved therapy with curative potential to allergies. AIT often associated severe side effects requires long-term treatment. Safer, more effective convenient allergen specific immunotherapies remain an unmet need. In this review article, we discuss current progress applying protein peptide-based approaches DNA vaccines clinical challenges posed by tree lens preclinical animal models trials, emphasis on birch Japanese red cedar
