摘要: Platelet-derived growth factor (PDGF) is synthesized and secreted by mesenchymal cells. We used immunohistochemistry in situ hybridization to determine whether immunoreactivity for PDGF receptor (PDGF-R) might be a prognostic indicator lung carcinoma. compared these results with those of anti-proliferating cell nuclear antigen (anti-PCNA). Indirect were performed B-chain, PDGF-R beta PCNA antibodies, B mRNA on frozen, paraffin-embedded sections 92 surgically resected carcinomas (39 squamous carcinomas, 47 adenocarcinomas, 2 large-cell adenosquamous double carcinomas). Clinicopathologic data (sex, age, stage, survival period, histologic type, degree differentiation) evaluated using statistical analysis system. reactivity was positive tumor cytoplasm some cases carcinoma (64%) adenocarcinoma (55%) all carcinoma, detected only stroma. Positive staining associated poor prognosis patients independent sex, differentiation (risk ratio = 2.53, p 0.03). 100% PDGF-positive 85% adenocarcinomas. There no correlation between expression index carcinomas. Together, suggest that B-chain may predict the outcome patients.
