摘要: A new vibrating-wire viscometer of very high precision was applied to determine the viscosity coefficient methane. The relative measurements are characterised by a reproducibility less than ±0.1% and an accuracy ±0.3%. experiments were carried out at nominal temperatures 260, 280, 300, 320 K pressures up 20 MPa as well 340 360 29 MPa. density dependence can appropriately be represented for all isotherms power series expansion restricted fourth power. experimental values methane used together with most reliable data from literature deduce zero-density correlation initial-density representation contributions residual viscosity. surface extends triple point 620 100
