摘要: Study objective : The purpose of this study is to examine emergency nurses' performance using triage scenarios characterized by type patient population (adult versus pediatric) and mode delivery (paper computer). Methods : A combination paper-based (script alone) computer-based plus still photographs) were used. Of the 28 used, half written computer based. Within each subgroup, there 7 adult pediatric scenarios. Participants asked allocate an Australasian Triage Scale category for scenario. Results One hundred sixty-seven participants completed a total 2,349 scenarios, 161 2,265 Sixty-one percent decisions made nurses “expected” decisions, 18% “undertriage,” 21% “overtriage” decisions. Nurse allocation containing photographs delivered demonstrated higher average agreement percentage 66.2% (κ=0.56; τb=0.77; P Conclusion appeared have effect on performance. It unclear whether use simple used in resulted incidence expected and, thus, improved cues such as video footage enhance fidelity may be useful not only education but also conduct research into decisionmaking. However, further exploration area are warranted.
