摘要: Publisher Summary This chapter discusses noninduced disease entity not associated with infectious agents or neoplasia. It focuses primarily on those conditions that either result in recognized clinical signs are likely to be seen the postmortem examination of rats. Rats suffering from nonneoplastic, noninfectious diseases present clinician ulcerative dermatitis, “ringtail” malocclusion, renal failure. In laboratory, incidence noninfectious, nonneoplastic causes spontaneous death has been estimated at 29% males and 12% females, mostly age-related diseases. specific pathogen-free rats, most significant sources morbidity neoplasia, chronic progressive nephropathy, myocardial degeneration, polyarteritis nodosa. Several lesions reviewed include radiculoneuropathy, skeletal muscle reproductive senescence, bile duct hyperplasia. Many these may coincidental, is, appearing same time, such as hypertension, nodosa, degeneration. The also aging process cellular
