摘要: Polarization diversity radars, both CDR and ZDR, are currently being used to investigate precipitation environments for meteorological radio science purposes. Various frequencies used. This paper investigates the use of such radars remote sensing rain, including dependency various measurements on frequency, as well model assumptions about drop shape, size distribution, water temperature, canting angle distribution. The effect rain occurring path between radar target is also considered, at S band propagation effects clearly worse than ZDR radars. It clear that above 20 GHz purpose measurement very problematical.
